Alive

Theatre performance for children

22.09.2024. - 01.12.2024.

As the Room theatre team resides in the Pauls Stradiņš Medicine History Museum and explores the museum's collection, main exhibition and the stories of exhibits that stimulate imagination, an event has been created that will invite younger and older viewers to think about life as a person, a leaf of a tree and a bird.

Earth is still the only known planet in the Universe on which life can be found. It is also home to two young people who meet to create a living organism together with the audience. By combining the exhibits in museum's collection, theatre’s artistic expression tools and dramaturgy, the audience is offered an opportunity to go on a research adventure and discover various amazing abilities that all living things possess.

Inspired by "School2030" science curriculum for 1.–4. grade students and focusing on the seven characteristics of living beings, the importance and fragility of life as a unified whole is brought forward.

The performances of the Room theater ALIVE have ended this school year at the museum and will continue again in the fall.
